Thank You Lord

I just loved decorating the tree this year. It is always one of Eve's favorite things to do, and it was even more magical watching Ellie. They both went through the boxes "carefully" removing each ornament. Eve would tell Ellie the history of the ornament, where we got it, or who gave it to us and why. Then they would find "just the right branch" to hang it on. We always play Christmas music and drink Egg Nog. It was simply a wonderful time.

Thank you Lord Jesus for coming down as a child. Thank you Lord Jesus for each of our children.

Trick or Treat

The girls were so much fun this year getting ready for trick-or-treating. At first, Ellie didn't understand the entire concept, but as soon as she saw her "big sis" she knew what to do. Below are a few photos from before we went out. Enjoy.

Just doing what a ladybug does. Checkin out the flowers

Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom

">

It is a tradition for our family to go to Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom every summer with my parents, brother & sister-in-law, and my nephew Josh when he visits from North Carolina. Well this year was no different. And since it is only 30 minutes from our home, the trip wasn't too long for Ellie to sit in her car seat. (Some of you may already know, Ellie hates her car seat. Really she hates being confined: car seat, high car, crib. She likes to be on the go, go, go.)

We had a really good time this year. However, the weather was exceptionally chilly for August (62 F at 3 pm/ 54 F at 9 pm.) Yes those temps are correct - it was almost down right cold.

Ellie enjoyed all the sights and sounds. And she really enjoyed all the food. It was wonderful to see her running around with all the other kids.

Eve is a wonderful big sister, always looking out for Ellie's safety. She made sure she knew where Ellie was every minute.

Speaking of Eve, she added a few new rides to her "enjoyment list." She's not so affraid anymore, so she was willing to ride the bigger rides this year. You know what that means don't you.... mom and dad are riding the bigger rides. We take turns, that way we aren't both sick at the same time.

A day at the pool and a day at the beach

"These Sun Chips are pretty good aren't they Sis? Yeah, they are Ellie. Glad you like them."

"Mommy, thanks for the Sun Chip."

Hangin' out in the pool.

You just got to love those little feet in the water.

Having fun on the rides at the boardwalk.

Ellie gives the best kisses.

We want to welcome everyone to our new webpage. I maxed out our China site, and since we have had so many requests to continue posting, we are moving to this site.

It's amazing all the changes that have occurred in our home since we have been back from China. Jing now goes by her American name Ellie Jing. She eats American food. Is speaking several words, gives the best kisses. She cruises all over the house very comfortably interacting with everyone in the family.

Her favorite thing(s) is her blankie. She just loves her blankies. It's too cute to see her all snuggled up in them. Dada is her favorite guy. She goes to him first, and he loves that.

I love watching her blossom in to the child God has created her to be. Everyday she "relaxes" more. You know what I mean... she seems more comfortable, more connected, more bonded... just more.

What a gift from God this child is to us. We give him all the glory for bringing her to us. We thank him for allowing us to be her earthly parents.
